Pushtara Bugyal Trek is located in Mori Tehsil of Uttarkashi district in Uttarakhand at an altitude of 3530m above sea level. You will find many trekking destinations in the Uttarkashi district but when it comes to the beautiful landscape and unknown destinations, Pushtara Bugyal is best among Har Ki Doon, Kedarkantha and Bali Pass.


The best time you can visit Pushtara Bugyal is May and June as well as August and September.

Trekking Itinerary of Phulera Ridge


The Pustara Bugyal via Phulera Ridge Trek is one of the best ridge treks in India. This trek takes 6-day and it starts from Sankri village. While on the trek you will pass through dense cedar-scented forests, beautiful meadows, and on the trek you will camp in beautiful places such as the Juda ka Talab and the beautiful meadows. If you are lucky then you will also see Monal which is the state bird of Uttarakhand.


Day 1:-Dehradun to Sankri (200 km/ 7 hours drive)


You will start at Dehradun early in the morning so that you can reach Sankri by evening. It's a long ride and you will drive along the Yamuna river and tons river. In the evening you will reach Sankri which is located at an altitude of 6397 feet. Sankri is a small market where you can buy all the essentials. You can also rent trekking accessories as per your need.


Day 2:- Sankri to Silkota (4-5 hours/trek: 7-8 km)


Early in the morning, you will start your trek after having your breakfast in Sankri. Sankri is also a base camp for many popular treks like Kedarkantha, Bali Pass and Borasu Pass.


After a couple of clearings, you will start trekking to your destination for the day that is Silkota. It is a 5-6 hours trek and you will pass through a thick pine forest. Silkota is situated at an altitude of 9300 feet, surrounded by tall pine trees and dense oak forest.

Day 3: Silkota to Bhoj Gadi (4-5 hours/trek: 3-4 km)


After breakfast, begin trekking through the dense forest to the banqueting train with a long trail. You will then approach the forest clearing, which opens to grasslands with yellow flowers. This walkthrough of the green bugyal will take you to the Bhoj Gadi. Bhoj Gadi is located at an altitude of 11,155 feet.


You will be staying in tents at the campsite in Bhoj Gadi.


Day 4: Bhoj Gadi to Pushtara via Phulara Ridge(5-6 hours/6km)


Today is the most adventurous trek as you will be walking along Phulara Ridge. Today you will walk for 3-4 hours on Phulera Ridge with the beautiful view of snow-capped Himalayan mountains. After crossing the ridge, you will enter into a dense forest and reach Pushtara Bugyal. Pushtara Bugyal is situated on the edge of a vast, rich plains mountain with spectacular views of the Himalayan peaks.


Overnight stay in a tent.

Day 5: Pushtara to Sankri (1920 m / 5 hours)


Today's trek is an easy one. You will start early in the morning and decent up to the village of Taluka. You will start descending into the green meadows, followed by a trek to the dense deodar forest. It will take around 5-hour to reach the village of Taluka.


From Taluka, you will drive to Sankri. Overnight stay in a tent or guesthouse in Sankri or Mori.

Day 6: Sankri to Dehradun


After breakfast, begin the journey to Dehradun.
