Dodital is a freshwater lake in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand which is located at an altitude of 3307 meters above sea level. This beautiful tourist destination is surrounded by greenery on all sides. This lake is famous for trout fishing and to kill fish in Dodital, you need to obtain permission from Divisional Forest Officer, Uttarkashi. Dodital is always crowded with tourists.

Located at an altitude of 10000 feet, Dodital is famous for the world's rare brown trout fishes This is a 21 km trekking and glacier water located at an altitude of 10,000 feet above sea level. It is said that during the princely period some foreign tourists thrived brown trout in the lake. At the same time, a fishery breeding area was also developed for the conservation of brown trout at Kalyani near Sangam Chatti, but it was washed away in the floods of 2012-13.
How to reach Dodital?
To reach Dodital you need to reach Sangam Chatti from Uttarkashi by vehicle. On the next day, you need to trek from Sangam Chatti to Bherva via Agora Village. From Bherva you can reach Dodital where you can stay in camps. On the next day, you can visit Dwara Pass and come back to the camping site. The next day starts returning back to Bherva and then back to Dehradun.
