Manasbal Lake is located on the Jhelum Valley, 30 km from the city of Srinagar in the state of Jammu and Kashmir.

This lake is named after the famous Kailash Mansarovar. The word 'Manasbal' is derived from Mansarovar.

This lake is situated at an altitude of 1500 km above sea level.

The length of this lake is 5 km and width is 1 km.

Manasbal is the largest and famous fresh water lake in Kashmir, which is surrounded by hills.

This lake is famous for lotus flowers in summer and migratory birds in winter.

There are small waterfalls on the northern and eastern banks of Manasbal Lake.

There is a Mughal Garden (Jorwa or Jorga) built by Nur Jahan on this lake which is very beautiful.
