Today I'm going to tell you about "Marinda Tal in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand.
Marinda Tal is a popular place in the majestic valley of upper Himalayas. Marinda Tal is a beautiful high altitude lake that comes while trekking towards Har Ki Doon Valley. Marinda Tal is located in Govind Wildlife Sanctuary and is 3 km ahead of Har-ki-Dun Valley, 31 km trek from Taluka village.
Har-ki-Doon is situated at an elevation of about 3566 meters above sea level and it is surrounded by peaks and dense forests. In this forest, you can see wild animals during the trek. 3 kilometres ahead of Marinda Tal is Har Ki Doon.
Har Ki Doon Valley is considered as the "Valley of the Gods" and serves as a base for the Swargahori (6400 m). Swargahorni and Joundar glacier is located on the southeast side of Har-ki-Doon. On the west side, you can see Bandarpunch Parvat.
Marinda Tal (also known as Morinda Tal) is a beautiful high altitude lake which can be seen after reaching Har Ki Doon Valley. Marinda Tal, situated at an elevation of about 3,970 meters, and is visible with the Swargahrini peak. In the peak season, Brahma kamal blooms around the lake.
These scenes provide a feeling of peace and this place is very beautiful for photography enthusiasts. The path of Maninda Tal is filled with lofty cedar and oak trees. Here you will see picturesque villages with small beautiful wooden houses. A wide variety of flora and fauna are available in the region.
