Kuari Pass: This place is full of adventure and thrill in the Himalayas

Due to the lack of snowfall in the world-famous snow sports site Auli, the Kuari Pass Trek has become an alternative and attracting many disappointed tourists. To reach Kuari Pass, located at an altitude of about 15,000 feet above sea level, one has to cover a distance of 17 km from Joshimath to Dhak. After this, the 13 km long track starts walking through Karchi and Tugasi villages.

It is considered safe for trekking due to its well-organized walkways. Walking The Himalayas with the help of local and experienced guides from Joshimath make arrangements for food and lodging in this four-day journey. From the base camp Khulara Bugyal (Velvet Meadow) near Kuari Pass, the Himalayas are visible in a 360-degree crescent shape and this makes a different pleasure of Himalaya Darshan.

Thakur Aniket Singh, associated with Adventure trekking company "Walking The Himalayas", said that due to the increase in the movement of tourists on the Kuari Pass Trekking route in winters, there has been an increase in the tourism business. According to him, people are very fond of excursions and trekking with snow.

Tourists can also stay in the villages near Kuari Pass Trek

Karchi and Tugasi villages also fall on the Kuari Pass trekking route, which is suitable for tourists to stay. Villagers provide facilities to move tourists or carry their luggage by horse and mules. Apart from the villages, you can see the beauty of the Dronagiri hills from here. The second stop of the trekking route is Khulara Bugyal, which is also the base camp of Kuari Pass. This bugyal, full of flowers, is spread over an area of three km. From here the peaks from Trishuli to Gangotri Himalaya can be seen clearly. The distance from Khulara Bugyal to Kuari Pass is 4 km. These days there is enough snow in Kuari Pass and Khulara Bugyal.
