The nearest airport to Kalimpong in the Darjeeling district of West Bengal is Bagdogra, which is 80 km from here and the nearest railway station, New Jalpaiguri, is 70 km away. Kalimpong is connected by bus to Kolkata, Darjeeling, Gangtok and Guwahati. The bus station here is at a distance of 65 km from Siliguri, which is on the National Highway.

Deolo is at a distance of 5 km from Kalimpong Nagar, Durpin 4 km, Relipala 20 km. Lolegaon is situated at a distance of 20 km and Kapher 25 km. The panoramic view of a sunrise visible from Kafer is the first choice of the tourists visiting here. Thousands of foreign tourists come here only to see the sunrise.
