People who like to roam thinks about the valleys and mountains of Uttarakhand first. The places here have been attracting tourists through their folk tales.


So, today we are going to tell you about "Daira-Bugyal", situated in the middle of the beautiful hills of Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, which is popular for its different folklore and is also a beautiful tourist destination.


"Dayara-Bugyal"


This Bugyal in Uttarkashi is situated at an altitude of 10,000 feet above sea level. From here one can see a magnificent view of the Himalayas. There is also a small lake here. Due to which, its beauty increases even more here.



Dayara Bugyal starts from 2600 meters on grassland to 3500 meters. With the facility of skiing and snow activities in winter, the grasslands turn into snow land which makes this place even more beautiful.



Folk Tale


If you believe in folklore and tales, then it is said that if any handsome man comes here, then the fairies take him to fairyland and keep him with them forever.


Yes, it is also said that this Dayara Bugyal is a region of fairies. That's why it is also called the fairy's world and they roam here in the warm sunny day and if a man likes them, she takes him along with her to Heaven.

How to reach Dayara Bugyal?


Day 1:- Dehradun to Uttarkashi to Raithal


To reach here, you will get bus facility from Uttarakhand's capital Dehradun to Uttarkashi. It will take you up to 5 hours to reach. At the same time, if you want to reduce your travel time, then you can also take a taxi from Dehradun. Which takes 3 to 4 hours. Apart from this, the government bus facility is stopped in winter or due to bad weather. Because of which you can also get this bus facility from Rishikesh.


From Uttarkashi, you need to take a shared taxi to Raithal which is around 45 kms from Uttarkashi.


Day 2:- Raithal to Gui


Next day start your Trek from Raithal to Gui. It's around 5km trek which is an easy ascend.


Day 3:- Gui to Dayara Bugyal to Gui


Next day start your Trek toward Dayara Bugyal summit and return back by evening to the campsite.


Day 4:- Gui to Raithal to Dehradun


Next day start descending towards Raithal and drive back to Dehradun.


Food and Drink


If you are in the mountains in the convenience of food and drink, then you should eat mountain food because the mountain food in the mountain air and atmosphere makes your body air-conditioned in the climate there. In which you should eat mountain vegetables, hill pulses and Himalayan water only. For those people who have problems with air at high altitude, mountain food is very beneficial.
