यह एक 8-दिवसीय लंबी ट्रेक है, जो देहरादून से शुरू होती है और देहरादून लौटती है। ट्रेकिंग के दौरान गढ़वाल में सांकरी, तालुका, ओसाला, हरकिडून और जौंधर ग्लेशियर सहित पांच खूबसूरत स्थानों को देख सकते हैं।

गोविंद राष्ट्रीय उद्यान

गोविंद राष्ट्रीय उद्यान उत्तरकाशी जिले में स्थित है, इसे 1980 में स्थापित किया गया था। यह राष्ट्रीय उद्यान 472 वर्ग किमी के क्षेत्र में फैला है। गोविंद नेशनल पार्क में भालू, हिम तेंदुआ, काला भालू, मोनाल जैसे जानवर पाए जाते हैं।

कैसे पहुंचा जाये?

हवाई अड्डा - निकटतम हवाई अड्डा जॉली ग्रांट हवाई अड्डा है। जॉली ग्रांट एयरपोर्ट से हर की दून की दूरी 107 किलोमीटर है। आप वहां से टैक्सी द्वारा आसानी से जा सकते हैं।

रेलवे स्टेशन - निकटतम रेलवे स्टेशन देहरादून रेलवे स्टेशन है। देहरादून रेलवे स्टेशन से हर की दून की दूरी 98 किलोमीटर है। वहां से आप टैक्सी या कार से आसानी से जा सकते हैं।

Itinerary of Panchachuli Glacier Trel

Here is a detailed itinerary for the Panchachuli Glacier Trek:

Day 1: Arrival in Kathgodam and Drive to Dharchula

 

On Day 1, you will arrive at Kathgodam, the nearest railway station to the starting point of the Panchachuli Glacier Trek. From Kathgodam, you will meet the trekking team and embark on a scenic drive to Dharchula. The drive offers picturesque views of the surrounding landscapes and takes you through charming towns and villages. Once you reach Dharchula, you will settle in for the night, preparing for the adventure that lies ahead. This day is primarily focused on travel and acclimatization.

Day 2: Dharchula to Sela

On Day 2, after having breakfast in Dharchula, the trek begins from the town towards Sela. The trail initially takes you through a gradual ascent, leading you through dense forests and meadows.

 

As you trek, you will witness the natural beauty of the surroundings, with the Himalayan flora and fauna adding to the charm. The trek from Dharchula to Sela is a moderate trek, allowing you to acclimatize to the altitude and enjoy the scenic views along the way. Upon reaching Sela, a beautiful campsite, you will set up your camp for the night, surrounded by the serene ambiance of the Himalayas.

Day 3: Sela to Nagling

 

On Day 3, the trek continues from Sela towards Nagling. You will start the day with an energizing breakfast at the campsite in Sela. The trek from Sela involves an ascent through a dense forest of rhododendron and oak trees, offering a picturesque trail surrounded by vibrant flora.

 

As you trek further, you will pass through the charming village of Tawaghat, where you can get a glimpse of the local culture and way of life. Continuing along the trail, you will trek alongside the gushing Dhauli Ganga River, enjoying its soothing sound and scenic beauty. The day's trek will lead you to Nagling, a serene campsite nestled amidst breathtaking views of the Himalayas. Day 4: Nagling to Panchachuli Base Camp

The nearest airport is the Pantnagar Airport, located around 250 km from Dharchula. From the airport, one can hire a taxi or take a bus to reach Dharchula.

The nearest railway station is Tanakpur Railway Station, located around 200 km from Dharchula. From the railway station, one can take a taxi or bus to reach Dharchula.

Once you reach Dharchula, you can hire a jeep or a shared taxi to reach the starting point of the trek at Dharchula village. The trek starts from Dharchula and passes through beautiful valleys, quaint villages, and scenic meadows, reaching the Panchachuli Base Camp at an altitude of around 4,200 meters (13,780 feet).

Not included in the package

 

  • Transport to and from Kathgodam– Walking The Himalayas will arrange shared taxis for trekkers. These shared taxis will pick you up from Kathgodam Railway Station or Pant Nagar Airport. Taxi from Kathgodam to Munsiyari costs around Rs. 8000 - 9000 per taxi and Rs. 14000 - 16000 per tempo one way.

  • Food during transit to and from the base camp – Walking the Himalayas doesn't include meals purchased during the journey to Dharchula and back.

  • Backpack offloading charges – If you wish to offload your backpack, there will be an additional charge of Rs. 2100 - 2500. The backpack cannot weigh more than 9 - 10 kgs. Walking The Himalayas does not allow Suitcases/Strollers/Duffel bags during the trek, so if you are bringing these then you have to take care on your own. These charges can vary for last minute offloading in case you decide to offload your bag after reaching Dharchula (Rs.350 per day inclusive of taxes).

  • Personal expenses - Your trekking package doesn't include any kind of personal expenses. 

Cancellation

 

If your trek gets called off at the last moment due to a natural calamity/unforeseen circumstances (like rains, snowfall, earthquake, landslides, strike, bandh etc.) we will not refund your money. Instead of money, Walking The Himalayas will issue a trek voucher for the full amount. You can easily redeem that voucher for the same amount for any of the treks available at the same price.

Cancellation charges are based on the total trek fee, irrespective of the amount paid either full or partial.

The cancellation policy of Walking The Himalayas is based on the original booking time and the original start date of the trek.

  • If you cancel a trek before 30 days of trek start date and get a full refund after deduction of 1.99% payment processing fee.

  • If you cancel a trek before 15 days of the trek start date and get a refund after a deduction of 20% of the total trek fee.

  • If you cancel a trek before 10 days of the trek start date and get a refund after a deduction of 40% of the total trek fee.

  • If you cancel a trek before 5 days of the trek start date and get a refund after a deduction of 60% of the total trek fee.

  • The Trek fee is non-refundable if you cancel within 4 days before the trek start date.

Trek cancellation due to weather:

  • In case of an incomplete trek due to weather conditions, you can opt for the same trek again throughout your lifetime on all our fixed departures for the same trek.

  • This attempt only covers the trek fee and will not include any rentals or the transportation amount paid earlier.

  • This is non-transferable.
